From Portugal, for Siddharth

Director Jayendra and his team recorded a song in Portuguese for the Tamil-Telugu bilingual 180.

Jayendra says, 'The song was part of our original plans, but somehow, we couldn’t get it ready in time for the album. Music director Sharreth and I had initially planned to record it in Portugal, but couldn’t find the time. So, we got Ely, a singer from Brazil who is interning in Mumbai, to sing the song.'

Madhan Karky wrote the lines despite being totally unfamiliar with the language.
'The song isn’t a gimmick, but plays an integral part in the film’s events. The film has a Portuguese connection and the song fits the film’s context quite well,' he says.
