Pall of gloom descended on noted playback singer Chitra as her eight-year-old daughter passed away at Dubai where she had been to do perform at a show with music director and A R Rahman's sister A R Rihanna.
Chitra, who was married in 1990 gave birth to a daughter almost 12 years after her marriage. Her husband is working in Dubai. Unfortunately the girl who accompanied Chitra to Dubai went missing last night and was found dead at a swimming pool. The body would be brought to India by a flight on Friday. Musc composers, singers and film personalities consoled Chitra.
Chitra, one of the prolific, has won several National awards for playback singer. She worked with many acclaimed music composers.
