Actors Rajniknath, Kamal Haasan, Sathyaraj, lyricist vairamuthu, director Bhakiyaraj among others gathered under one roof with Chief Minister M Karunanidhi to watch Ponnar Shankar, that has Prashanth playing dual roles.
Produced and directed by Thiyagarajan, the movie is based on the novel Ponnar Shankar by Karunanidhi and the dialogues are written by himself.
At the special screening, Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan accompanied Karunanidhi and enjoyed every scene of the movie. Talking about the movie, Rajnikanth said, ' it is one of the grand venture in Tamil cinema and all the artistes have given their best.'
He personally congratulated Prashanth and Thiyagarajan on the occasion. On his part, Kamal Haasan said, 'I enjoyed reading the novel which Karunanidhi gave me as a gift with his signature. To see it on screen made as a movie in such a stylish manner is interesting'.
Sathyaraj said, ' it is a marvellous attempt on screen. I enjoyed watching it. The movie has already become a huge hit'.
The guests were welcomed by Thiyagarajan and Prashanth.
